But John the Baptist was not saying, that I am baptizing you with water, but who is coming after me, that is to say Christ, he as well will baptize you with water, too. It is written, that Jesus baptized nobody with water , hence really this is a well enough example for those who baptize with water, in order to follow this example of Jesus to baptize nobody with water, as Jesus never baptized with water, thus there would never been water baptized christians in the world.
