I was able to help this young man--he is going to school in September
--he now has a government pension
--has an apartment
--and been reconnected with his family

So what did you do for this homeless man other than take a picture and talk about how bad you feel for them. Did you invite him into your house to cloth and feed him and give him a home? Seems there is a lot of talk about this problem with little action that matters by those talking. Yet your so quick to judge the "well dressed" masses that passed and acted as if he didn't exist.
they might be doing more for him than you are.
