They might have been friends in real life. Shatner and Nimoy were I believe.

He was an irreplaceable character in these series. The 'star trek' wouldn't be the same without him. I happen to like clear thinkers, which he was but... the human side of Kirk balanced it very nicely and it was refreshing to follow them in becoming true friends though, would two people like these two characters make it as friends in a real life? Hmm, not sure. There's too much competition going on.

haha, cause he was such a stickler of pure logic. having had a human mother, he should've known better how human mind works and why bother leave Vulcan people for human in a first place if you wanna stick with your father's people??
