Într-o ţară îndepărtată,
Cand era bunica fată,
Cerşetorii stau grămadă,
Pe la colţuri, sau pe stradă.
Undeva, mai într-o parte,
Lângă o piaţă, sau poate, mai departe,
Un copil mai ponosit,
Cu glăsciorul mai timid,
Stă cu mâna întinsă, către lume,
Să adune,
Nu din buzunare,
Ci, din suflet, de la fiecare,
Doar atât cât are,
Puţină....... iubire.
-Doamnă ! numai o privire!
-Domnule, vă rog, şopti încet băiatul,
-Eu sunt, copilul cu oftatul!
-Domnişoară, o atenţie, din milă !
-Of ! gîndise trist, faţa ta, e numai silă.
Cerşetorul de iubire,
Se întreabă cu uimire :
-Cum ? să fie adevărat?
-Nu aveţi nimic de dat ?
Unii trec absenţi agale,
Alţii mai grăbiţi, mergeau cu pasul mare,
Nimeni, însă, nu se oprea,
Cerşetorului să-i dea,
Ceea ce, doar el, cerea.
După luni de aşteptare,
Şi de căutare,
Pe obrazul chinuit,
Amărât, şi deznădăjduit,
Privi atent la trecători,
Şi îl trecu, fiori.
Deşi sărac, iar strada era casa lui,
Iar el trăia haihui,
Nici bogăţia şi nici fericirea,
Nu poate înlocui iubirea.
Cerşetorul meu, se pare,
Locuieşte în fiecare. |
